They're Everywhere!

   



      School work is a task for De Anza College students must be
able to finish on time, but there's always a distraction that students face, which lingers their work.

      All interviews were taken on Nov. 12, 2015 around 3:00 p.m. and ended approximately  at 4:15 p.m.

      Francisco Rincon, 18, economics major, said he has a habit of watching Youtube and checking
his Facebook.; he doesn't know why he's so attached to these things.

      Rincon is one of many college students who are victims of procrastination, according Huffington
Post that reports about 88 percent of college students admit they procrastinate in May 27, 2014.

      Michael Malagon, 18, biomolecular engineering major, said he procrastinates at least one to two
hours a day.

      "I like to watch Youtube and play video games. That's why I procrastinate," Malagon said.
      The Huffing Post article confirms that most males procrastinate to something else, while females
procrastinate because they are overwhelmed by school work.

      Ryan Wang, 27, a computer science major, said he is a fan of a computer game called League of
Legends. He considers himself a hard worker, but he feels that playing League of Legends allows
him "more opportunities and more valuable in time."

      According to the study, 45 percent of the students confirmed that procrastination affected their
grades negatively on a daily basis.

      David Nguyen, 45, kinesiology major, said he procrastinates all the time.

      "The No. 1 reason why I procrastinate is because I'm able to pass last minute projects all the
time."

      Donnicia Galbreaith, 45, computer science major, said she procrastinates a few days a week, but
 try to avoid it if she can. The activities ranged from talking on the phone to hanging out with
Nguyen-they are a couple.

      The top three things that college students do while procrastinating are watching T.V., using social
 media and sleeping, according to the study. If you are a victim of this problem, look at the sidebar
